Most of us have grown up in a society where ‘the lack of’ something was amplified and scarcity was popularized to create newer needs. The lack – was further perpetuated by the media, advertising companies, and so forth. We, at MySocially, strongly believe in the virtue of opportunity to create infinite possibilities.
When we look at something problematic or innate societal issues, we wonder if the question we ought to ask is – what is the human bridge to opportunity and justice? How do we shift from scarcity to abundance? While we sit in the pool of overwhelming lack, can we tap into our inner reserve of strength, innovate and step up in our service? What does a world of opportunity look like to each of us?
When we begin to recognize that whatever comes up is a mental formation of the mind – a perspective shift takes place. We can form a perception of lack, or of opportunity. Once the perspective is formed, we tend to move towards forming an abundance of opportunity, a wealth of quality perspectives that will help us move forward. And often times than not, our collective vision for opportunity - can move the world. Or so is the hope.
How do you relate to the notion of lack versus opportunity? Can you share a personal story of accessing the vision of opportunity? What helps you let go perspectives of lack formed outside of you?
